Services

Therapy

Therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counselling, is a collaborative process between a registered counsellling therapist and an individual or group seeking to address emotional, psychological, or behavioural challenges. The goal of therapy is to promote mental health and well-being by providing a safe, supportive environment for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Peer to Peer Support

Peer-to-peer support refers to the assistance and encouragement provided by individuals who have shared similar experiences, challenges, or circumstances. This type of support is based on mutual understanding, empathy, and a sense of community, allowing individuals to connect on a personal level. It is often used in various contexts, including mental health, addiction recovery, education, and personal development.

SMART Recovery

SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is a science-based program designed to help individuals recover from addiction and achieve personal goals related to abstinence and well-being. It is an alternative to traditional 12-step programs and focuses on empowering individuals to take control of their recovery through self-directed methods.

Youth Empowerment

Youth empowerment is the process of equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to take control of their lives, make informed decisions, and positively influence their communities. It involves fostering a sense of agency and self-efficacy among youth, enabling them to become active participants in their own development and the world around them.

Healthy Masculinity

Healthy masculinity refers to a positive and constructive expression of male identity that emphasizes traits such as emotional intelligence, respect, empathy, and responsibility. It challenges traditional stereotypes of masculinity that often promote harmful behaviors, such as aggression, emotional suppression, and dominance. Instead, healthy masculinity encourages men to embrace vulnerability, foster supportive relationships, and engage in positive social interactions.

Intimate Partner Violence

The Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Prevention Program for those who have caused harm aims to address the behaviours and underlying issues contributing to intimate partner violence. The program seeks to promote accountability, facilitate behavioural change, and prevent future incidents of violence by providing education, support, and resources to individuals who have perpetrated IPV.

Support Groups

A support group is a structured gathering of individuals who come together to share their experiences, challenges, and coping strategies related to a specific issue or life circumstance. Support groups provide a safe and confidential environment where participants can connect with others who understand their struggles, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
